Recent Book Grabs (ARCs and Published books)

These are the goodies i just got recently :") Spare me for here comes a couple of books adding up to my endless TBR pile!! If only I could read everything at once....

Kill Me Softly
KILL ME SOFTLY BY SARAH CROSS
Synopsis (from Goodreads):
Mirabelle's past is shrouded in secrecy, from her parents' tragic deaths to her guardians' half-truths about why she can't return to her birthplace, Beau Rivage. Desperate to see the town, Mira runs away a week before her sixteenth birthday—and discovers a world she never could have imagined.

In Beau Rivage, nothing is what it seems—the strangely pale girl with a morbid interest in apples, the obnoxious playboy who's a beast to everyone he meets, and the chivalrous guy who has a thing for damsels in distress. Here, fairy tales come to life, curses are awakened, and ancient stories are played out again and again.

But fairy tales aren't pretty things, and they don't always end in happily ever after. Mira has a role to play, a fairy tale destiny to embrace or resist. As she struggles to take control of her fate, Mira is drawn into the lives of two brothers with fairy tale curses of their own . . . brothers who share a dark secret. And she'll find that love, just like fairy tales, can have sharp edges and hidden thorns.

Until I Die (Revenants, #2)UNTIL I DIE (REVENANTS #2) BY AMY PLUM
Synopsis (from Goodreads):

Kate and Vincent have overcome the odds and at last they are together in Paris, the city of lights and love.

In Die for Me, Amy Plum created a captivating paranormal mythology with immortal revenants and a lush Paris setting. Until I Die is poised to thrill readers with more heart-pounding suspense, spellbinding romance, and a cliff-hanger ending that will leave them desperate for the third and final novel in the series.

As their romance deepens there’s one question they can’t ignore: How are they supposed to be together if Vincent can’t resist sacrificing himself to save others? Although Vincent promises that he’ll do whatever it takes to lead a normal life with Kate, will that mean letting innocent people die? When a new and surprising enemy reveals itself, Kate realizes that even more may be at stake—and that Vincent’s immortality is in jeopardy.

The Selection (The Selection, #1)
THE SELECTION BY KIERA CASS
Synopsis (from Goodreads):

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by
 violent rebel attacks.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself- and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

  2. The Selection's blurb sounds great which made me want to pick up the book, but the author's attitude was just awfully mean that's why I had 2nd thoughts in considering it.. in the end I was like, what the hell, I'm giving it a chance :))I'm excited to read Kill Me Softly too!! Will post my review as soon as I'm done with it :D Followed you btw!

  3. Thanks! :D I'll probably end up reading it myself even though I didn't find the summary all that good. I want to know what's going to happen just in case the pilot does become a tv series :P we'll see how it goes.

  5. Truth is, I literally spent 10 hours yesterday making it more presentable when really I should have been doing the 6 essays I owe this week :/ (I don't advice it.)

And your blog is just fine! I love your tagline :) Just one thing, reading white text on a black background gets tiring after a while, maybe you could play around with the colors and come up with something that's more easy on the eyes? Hope you don't mind me saying, just food for thought :P
